Fashion the social influence.
On campus, it does influence Beatrice Makgwale writes.
One of the things one will first notice when you go to any tertiary institute, from vintage, classy, girly to ‘somgaga.’Fashion is everyday evolving amongst students as everyone tries to show out their style and earn the respect of being called a fashionista and be noticed. It has it’s own cost for one to be stylish or rather be called a fashionista it’s a mission on it’s own, money involved and time, time which is something that is so precious and we don’t much of. Tertiary it’s all about studying but  one will argue that we can’t just study we should have fun too and I certainly agree, but what about the cost, as we all know cloths cost money can our parents provide? As diverse as it is we are all from different backgrounds be it culture or financial we are not the same. What about me if I can’t afford, does that mean my dream of being a fashionista is dead or should I look for a sugar daddy or boyfriend so they say, to provide ?one of the question students ask themselves.
Many end up with a breathing, moving Diploma in a year, where is the provider I mean the ‘boyfriend’ or sugar daddy now, as you are now at home after three months of being a fashionista wearing the latest fashion was it worth it ? . Being in Tertiary institution it’s a privilege as many wished but it was unfortunately, let us embrace and use the opportunity and get Diploma well a written one, get a job and be the fashionista you always wanted to be without any pressures or doing something in return, by the end of the day the choice is yours, as the pressure of being fashionable can make you do things you will regret……money…………..all up to you.
